You’ll love our tile selection and installation quality.
It is a common misconception that all tile flooring is the same and will last forever. The reality is that there are many different degrees of quality involved, and some won’t give you the longevity you may desire. That is particularly true if it isn’t installed properly. Here at Precision Decorating, we take the time to listen to what you want to accomplish, so that we can recommend the type of tile flooring that will meet your needs. We make sure you fully understand the advantages of the tiles you settle on, so that your expectations are realistic.
One factor to understand about tile flooring is the hardness ratio. Some tile is quite porous and easily scratched or will have the top layer wear off in a heavy traffic situation. This is not the type of tile you would want under chairs or going down a main hallway. A ceramic tile is not ideal for kitchens because if you drop a pan it will chip, and you’ll see the clay color underneath. A solid color porcelain tile with a great hardness ratio is the better option for this use. Even if it were to chip, it wouldn’t be as noticeable.
Our skilled contractors will use the best setting materials for your project and install your tile flooring according to manufacturer recommendations, so you can enjoy your tile for many years to come. Substandard setting materials can break down readily leaving you with hollow sounds and even cracked tiles. We have been in business since 1968 and owe our longevity to our dedication to never cutting corners and producing quality work.
